Façade is the first in an ongoing series of photographic works that seek to unify three main aspects inherent to an artwork; title, materials, and content. In Façade, the title relates to the subject matter of the image as well as the photographic surface’s relationship with the material it is mounted to. Unlike more formal strategies traditionally used in the presentation of photographs, the materials which support the print are intentionally left evident in this case. Adopting the considerations of a sculptural object, Façade incorporates form and construction into the conceptually basis of the piece.
